Great post Ben —the most important thing for me each day to make sure my anxiety stays in check is that I carve out a few times each day to “play” (big thanks to my two year old). But focuing on the body was def. the most effective way for me to get positive and I used podcasts and books to support the smile after play or exercise brought it out. Sounds similiar to your experience, but it was body first for me. BTW — great page. I too started writing 6 months ago and would have never thought that Fast Company, INC, Thought Catalog etc would be sharing my writing. Been an amazing few months.
