I would not be surprised if these words came from any part of the world — depending who you hang out with. Was more just trying to create a post in a light hearted way that got people thinking that they indeed do have control over their own choices — it just so happens for me in Catalunya (compared to the US) the environment helps a great deal with controlling myself.
